“Church & State” Play Reading & Raffle Drawing

6:30pm – 9pm Monday, December 10

On April 16, 2007, 32 students and faculty were killed by a student with two legally purchased guns.

Previously, he had been found to be a danger to himself or others. Had his name been in the background check system, he wouldn’t have bought those guns.

VTV Family Outreach Foundation is working to prevent more mass shootings by trying to ensure all legally prohibited names are entered into the background check system.

Join us for a reception, a professional play reading of the award-wining play “Church & State” about gun violence and a post-reading Talk Back conversation about the play and the issue featuring former Rep. Jim Moran and playwright Jason Odell Williams at Metro Stage, 1201 N Royal Street.

The $32 contribution to attend the play reading includes a raffle ticket to win a gift certificate to buy a $2295 electric bike from Pedego Electric Bikes in Old Town. Every ticket buyer automatically gets a free one hour electric bike ride. 100 seats available.

(Raffle tickets are also sold independently. A maximum of 320 raffle tickets will be sold. The winner does not have to be present at the play reading.)

Please join us Monday, December 10th.
