Integrated School Resource Officer (SRO) Safety Model and Training Curriculum

A broad literature review has been conducted to inform development of an integrated school safety model including, but not limited to, the following school safety domains:

Positive school climate
Reducing the school-to-prison pipeline
Restorative disciplinary practices
Mental health issues and services
Threat identification and management
Emergency crisis planning and response
Physical security: crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED)
Data collection and evaluation
Legal issues and practices
Cultural competencies and special populations
Law enforcement practices: roles of SROs
Actively Caring for People principles and applications
