About VTV
Virginia Tech Victims Family Outreach Foundation (VTV) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonpartisan advocacy organization founded by the families and survivors of the April 16, 2007 shootings at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), which killed 32 people, injured at least 24 and traumatized numerous others.
Our mission is to prevent Virginia Tech-type shootings through education and advocacy; to employ comprehensive educational efforts to expand community and student awareness of campus safety issues; and to offer compassion, support, and hope to those affected by violence.
